After losing our sweet son in 2020 to an accidental Fentanyl overdose, Michelle and I asked God to show us what to do to make the rest of our lives mean what they were supposed to mean. One of the things God brought to us was taping a show about mental health, including grief and addiction recovery. Along with producer Matt Peveto and segment producer Lisa Boullt, we shot season one of the Good Grief Good God Show (Raw, honest conversation about surviving things that suck).
This hasn’t been easy for us, but it has helped heal our hearts and the hearts of many of our guests and viewers. Some of the guests were my old friends from the music and entertainment business, but some were people I’d never met, and they were all amazing. Some famous, some notable, some just great, wise people with peace and hope to share.
Season 2 will premiere in February with my friend Sheryl Crow as our first guest, followed by some other incredible people with incredible stories willing to sit with me and talk about uncomfortable subjects.
A huge thank you to our guests and those who reached out to tell us this show has touched you. We started with the goal that if we helped one person in this journey of grief, then our mission would be complete. I think we go even deeper and broader into these “un-talked about” subjects this year than last season. More laughter, more tears, and an even greater realization that God is amazing even when we aren’t.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing your imperfect lives with us and letting us share ours with you. Enjoy season 2!!
