Hi! My name is Jamie and I’m glad you are here. Faithfully Restored started when four friends experienced the overwhelming love and support of the incredible women around them during trials in their lives. With a calling to give back, we started meeting once a month to pray for other women and send them encouraging notes and care packages. We have big dreams so stay tuned!
A little bit of my story. I first experienced a community of people rallying around me when my dad committed suicide. I was 25 and to be married to my college sweetheart, Daniel, three months later. My family, college friends and people from my hometown showed up in big ways to let me know I wasn’t alone. Still, I felt angry at God after losing my dad and it took me a long time to trust Him again.
Over the next several years my faith deepened and my family grew. Daniel and I had a daughter, Madeline, and son, William. We lived as a happy family of four until William died after choking one day during lunch when he was two and a half. The love and support our family was shown, and honestly is still shown to this day, has been invaluable.
Walking through the pain of losing a child can be extremely isolating. But God has provided such an amazing community of women around me so I never feel alone. For that, I am forever grateful. Because of organ donation, William's heart continues to beat in a sweet little girl named Ava. We have become really close with her family and have the honor of watching her grow up. A true gift from God that has provided tremendous healing. Read more about William and Ava here.
While the events above address the tragedies in my life, I have countless ways God has my story and continues to be in relentless pursuit of my heart. Our house now has a family of four living in it again. Our daughter, Annie, was born a year and a half after William died. She is a blessing that brings a smile to our faces daily.
I know that I might never understand the details of God’s plan but I trust it with all my heart. God tells us that we will experience trials but He also promises a place with no more tears to those who trust in Him. As we walk through this broken world, my hope is that Faithfully Restored can remind you that you aren't alone. We want you to feel loved, prayed for and encouraged. It is with true joy that I share my story, a story of God's love, grace and overwhelming peace given to a sinner just like you.
